Our trips offer you what our founder wishes she had at the beginning of her polar journey: the chance to ski around, in cold, snowy places, learning things, having fun and meeting nice people along the way.

 

But here’s the back story:

 

Despite having graduated with a PhD in mathematics and already having some growing expedition-leading experience, Snowstorm founder Jen followed her gut and accepted a job cleaning bathrooms in a small, tented adventure camp in Antarctica. 

 

In Antarctica, she discovered an entire new world of cold and adventure and one of the surprising highlights was the really great friendships she made with other people who loved cold, snowy places. The founders went on to move to the Hardangarvidda and Jen enrolled on the exclusive nine month Arctic Nature Guide training course on Svalbard and some time later, Snowstorm Adventures was born.
